11th Battalion London Regiment (Finsbury Rifles) (TA) was converted in December 1935 as 61 (Finsbury Rifles) Anti-Aircraft Brigade RA (TA). It was re-designated as 61 (Middlesex) Anti-Aircraft Brigade RA (TA) in October 1938 and became 61 (Middlesex) Anti-Aircraft Regiment in January 1939. It was re-designated 61 (Middlesex) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in June 1940. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in September 1945. 61 (Middlesex) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted as 461 (Middlesex) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
