58 (Kent) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was originally raised as a Medium Regiment in 1921 and titled 52 (Kent) Medium Brigade RA (TA), it was converted to Anti-Aircraft in February 1935 as 58 (Kent) Anti-Aircraft Brigade RA (TA). It was re-designated as 58 (Kent) Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) from 58 (Kent) Anti-Aircraft Brigade RA (TA) in January 1939. It became 58 (Kent) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in June 1940. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in December 1945 and was reconstituted as 458 (Kent) (M) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
