102 Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Antrim in August 1939. It was re-designated as 102 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in June 1940. The Regiment served in Anti-Aircraft Command until November 1942. It moved to the Middle East in May 1943 serving in North Africa and Palestine. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in January 1944. 102 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted as 502 (Ulster) (M) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
