8 Anti-Aircraft Z Regiment RA was formed in September 1940 with four batteries in 9 Anti-Aircraft Division at Llanduff, Cardiff. 8 Anti-Aircraft Z Regiment RA disbanded in March 1945 and RHQ became 3 Area Anti-Aircraft Maintenance HQ.
