72 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was raised in June 1942. It served as part of 5 Anti-Aircraft Division covering the South West and South Midlands. In October 1942 the Division became a part of 3 Anti-Aircraft Group. In August 1944 it was re-numbered as 105 Anti-Aircraft Brigade.
