68 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was created in May 1941 to take over the duties of 1 Anti-Aircraft Brigade. 1 AA Brigade left 11 Anti-Aircraft Division to train for overseas duties. 11 Anti-Aircraft Division covered the West Midlands until disbanded in October 1942. 68 Anti-Aircraft Brigade then came under 4 Anti-Aircraft Group.
