16 Anti-Aircraft Brigade

16 Anti-Aircraft Brigade commanded all Anti-Aircraft units on Java, coming into operation on 4 February 1942. It was commanded by Brigadier Sitwell. He was promoted to Major General and took command of all British troops in Java when Wavell was withdrawn to India. 16 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was captured and ceased to exist on the fall of Java on 5 March 1942.
