35 (1st Surrey Rifles) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA)

35 (1st Surrey Rifles) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) formed in August 1940 by the transfer of 35 (1st Surrey Rifles) Anti-Aircraft Battalion Royal Engineers (TA) to the RA. The Regiment served in 38 and then 27 Anti-Aircraft Brigades in the UK until converted to Light Anti-Aircraft. 35 (1st Surrey Rifles) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was converted to 129 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA in March 1942. It was re-constituted as 570 (1st Surrey Rifles)  Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
