65 (The Manchester Regiment) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA)

6/7th Battalion The Manchester Regiment (TA) was converted in December 1936 as 65 (The Manchester Regiment) Anti-Aircraft Brigade RA (TA). It was re-designated as 65 (The Manchester Regiment) Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1939. It became 65 (The Manchester Regiment) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in June 1940. The Regiment Served in Anti-Aircraft Command until moving to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in March 1942. It returned to the UK in 1944. 65 (The Manchester Regiment) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in June 1946  and was reconstituted as 465 (Manchester) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
