The badges and insignia worn by the regiment were many and varied. This section covers the regulation insignia worn at various times during the war and the individual unit insignia. These regulations were often not adhered to and there are examples of badges no longer authorised by 1940 still in use in 1945.
Many units had their own badge worn officially or not, to retain links with an area or former role. Many yeomanry on conversion to RA retained their original titles and much of their badges and uniform items. It was sometimes difficult to tell that they were RA at all.
