The history of the Regiment in WW2
HQ 1 Anti-Aircraft Command Demonstration & User Trials (Mixed) Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA was formed in April 1944 at Minster, Sheppey. The Regiment commenced disbandment in February 1946 at Bell Farm, Minster, Sheerness.

Formed in July 1943 as RHQ 1 Anti-Aircraft Fort RA at Militia Camp, Rainham, Chatham. Two weeks later it amalgamated with 637 Independent Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery RA to form 1 Anti-Aircraft Fort Regiment RA. The Regiment was disbanded in November 1945.
