116 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA)

116 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted in January 1942 from 12th Battalion The Royal Welch Fusiliers. The Regiment served with 53 Infantry Division. It moved to Normandy on the 27 June 1944 and fought through France ending at s’Hertogenbosch, Holland. When 50 Division was broken up, 25 LAA Regiment was transferred to 53 Division. 116 LAA as the junior regiment was broken up as re-inforcements. 116 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in January 1945.
